William J. Schreiber, Sr.

On Saturday, June 25, 2022, William J. Schreiber Sr, U.S Navy Veteran, of Parkville, Maryland, died peacefully at the age of 91.  He was born on February 26, 1931, to his loving parents George and Mary Schreiber, Sr.  Growing up he was a kind and loving son.   He graduated from Polytech High School in 1949 and then joined the Navy in 1951 on board the USS Randolph until 1955.  He was a beloved husband of 42 years to his loving wife, the late Marlyn E. Schreiber (nee Snyder), and 21 years to the late Evelyn Schreiber (nee Lannon).  Bill was blessed with a large and loving family.  He was a devoted father of the late Bill Schreiber Jr., Mickey Schreiber (Lisa), Bob Schreiber (Joyce), Michele Linton (Tom), Denise Walsh (Mike), and stepfather to, Don Lannon (Denise), Kathy Noe, and the late Vicki Schreiber; loving grandfather of Thomas Jr., Davis (Angela), Courtney (Mike), Kayla, Paige (Sean), Michael (Talyne), Michael (Ian), Allison (Ricardo), Brooke (Keith), Bobby, and step-grandfather to Michael (Jennifer), Chad (Olga), Robin (Kerri), Samantha; and a loving great grandfather to 17  great-grandchildren.    He was a dear brother of the late Helen “Georgie” Fassio, the late George Schreiber Jr., and Mary Valimont (James); also survived by many loving family and friends.  

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Amazing Grace and Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion for our father.   

Family and friends will honor and celebrate William's life at St Ursula's Catholic Church, for a Receiving of Friends on Friday, August 19th, 2022, from 10-11 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, following the Receiving of Friends. Inurnment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery.
