William Carroll Obituary

William R. Carroll, 85, of Parkville, MD rose to heaven on February 14, 2021. William (Bill) is survived by his beloved wife C. Diane Carroll (nee Doenges) of 62 years. He was a devoted father to his three daughters, Judith McCauley (Brian), Susan Hinkle (Kirk) and Patricia Sanders (Marc); Pop Pop to Chelsea, Cassandra, Christian, Sean, Emily, Aidan and Maya; and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. His family extends to his many loyal friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Wenzing.

Bill had a lifelong career at Bethlehem Steel, was a veteran of the Naval Reserve, and always ready to serve others.

Family and friends may honor and celebrate Bill’s life at the family-owned Evans Life Celebration Home, 8800 Harford Road, Parkville, MD. Visitation is Friday, February 19 from 2-4 and 6-8. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 10:00. Face masks are required. Due to gathering size limits, there may be a wait to enter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Saint John’s Lutheran Church of Parkville.
