It is with profound sadness that we share with you the news that our beloved Wayne Elbert Morris passed away on April 19, 2021. He moved on peacefully, no doubt to rejoin cherished family, friends, and pets in Heaven.
Wayne was the only child of Mervin Elbert and Virginia Tucker Morris, born on June 28,1939. He graduated from Sparrows Point High School, excelling in academics and athletics as he played soccer, basketball, and baseball. Wayne was a member of the Maryland Senior Olympic Volleyball team, and also enjoyed classic cars, playing golf, and sailing. He graduated with honors from the University of Maryland in 1962, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Wayne worked at Bethlehem Steel for forty years in a variety of management positions. Later in life, Wayne enjoyed being in the church choir as a parishioner of Linden Heights United Methodist Church. Wayne was affable by nature, fast to make friends with whom he would remain loyal throughout his life.
