Vincenza Galluzzo

Vincenza Galluzzo, affectionately known just as Nonna, passed away peacefully in Baltimore on November 12, 2023. Born in Italy on September 9, 1927, her spirit and love for life remained vivid even as she advanced in years. Her abiding love was her established family, anchored by her late husband, Carmelo Galluzzo, and cherishing her late daughter, Josephine Mazzone. 
 
Vincenza delighted in preparing traditional Italian dishes; her empanadas were legendary within the family and among those fortunate to have tasted her craft. Her skillful hands weaved love into every dish she created, creating lasting memories for every family gathering. 
 
Vincenza is survived by her grandchildren Raffaele (Deneen) Mazzone and Michael (Heather) Mazzone, along with her great-grandchildren Alexia, Raffaele, Haileigh, Luca, and great-great-grandchildren Adriana and Alayna. They are left with mementoes of laughter, love, and sumptuous meals she made. Vincenza’s light will continue shining through her descendants, even as she finds eternal rest. 

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Vincenza's life on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 2:30PM-7:30PM. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 10AM at Evans Life Celebration Home- 8800 Harford Rd, Parkville, MD 21234. Vincenza will be laid to rest following services at Holy Redeemer Cemetery- 4430 Belair Rd, Baltimore, MD 21206.
