On November 23, 2018, Shirley “Shirl” Martin Richardson, 89, of Forest Hill, MD; loving son of the late Andy F. Richardson & Katie E. Richardson; beloved husband of the late Eva Lorene Richardson; devoted father of Janet Wallen & her husband Jefferson “Jay” Wallen; cherished grandfather of Sheila Hooker & her husband Daniel and Steven Mabe & his wife Sabrina; treasured great-grandfather of Tabitha, Brooke, Keith, Sarah, Akira, Cherish, Alex, Bella & Joseph; dear brother of Dorothy Richardson Evans, Maggie Richardson Gross and predeceased by A. Berkley “Berk” Richardson, Martha “Motsey” Richardson Dowell and his late half-brothers, Louis Cooper, Charles Cooper & Roy Cooper.
Shirl was a regular attendee of the Higher Ground Worship Center in Darlington, MD. He retired from Bethlehem Steel as a steel worker. He enjoyed boating and fishing on Chincoteague Island, along with listening to blue grass music and gardening.
Family and friends will honor Shirl’s life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services – Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rt. 23 & Rt. 24), Forest Hill on Wednesday, November 28th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM where a funeral service will be held Thursday, November 29th at 11AM.
