On February 20th, 2024, Sheila Kearns Woolfolk passed away following a massive brain aneurysm. She was the loving and devoted wife of Tom Woolfolk for 47 years. She was caring, kind, considerate, an avid nature lover, an active volunteer in the community throughout her life. She spent time as a docent for the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore and as a reader at her church, served meals to those in need at Our Daily Bread and visited nursing homes with her dog, Sugar, as a therapy dog for Pets on Wheels. She enjoyed hiking with Tom and their dogs and working in her gardens, reading, art, photography, music, especially the opera, and loved doing things for other people.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Tom, her brothers and sisters, Sam and Rose Anne Kearns, Sue Walker, Sally Lee, Sharon Mack, Scott and Susan Kearns, Steve Kearns, and Cindy Amberg, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
There will be a viewing for family and friends on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, at Our Lady of Grace Church, 18310 Middletown Road, Parkton, Maryland from 10AM to 12PM, where a funeral mass will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sheila’s name to the Baltimore County Humane Society.
