On January 29, Serafina Onheiser Lobert (nee Stipa) died from complications of Covid 19. She was 94. Sarah was formerly of Ellicott City, Maryland and currently of Westminster, Maryland. She married the late Albert S. Onheiser at St. Dominic Church, Baltimore, Maryland. Their children are Michael Onheiser, Karen Dell and spouse Richard, Mark Onheiser and spouse Debbie, Stephen Onheiser, and Paul Onheiser and spouse Earlene. Sarah was the beloved spouse of the late Martin C. Lobert, formerly of Michigan.
Sarah was a vibrant and loving woman who prayed for everyone. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Eldersburg and formerly Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ilchester, Maryland. She enjoyed travelling with her husband, Martin and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Sarah was the loving grandmother of Mark Onheiser Jr. and wife Danielle, Joseph Onheiser and wife Jessica, Sarah Marie Hugg and husband Rob, Christian Dell and wife Lauren, Natalie Sarah Dell O’brien and husband Conor, and Shannon Lippe and husband Phil; and Paul Onheiser, Jr., Daniel Onheiser, Emily Onheiser and Whitney Onheiser.
Sarah and Martin enjoyed travelling to visit his children Fr. Richard Lobert, Larry Lobert and wife Bonnie and their children Chloe and Grant in Michigan, and Sharon Lobert and husband Jack in Mississippi; and Patrick Lobert and spouse Bertha and their sons Joshua and Alex in Missouri.
Sarah is survived by ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The daughter of Italian immigrants, Guerino Stipa and Isolina (nee Mazzochi), Sarah was raised with 13 siblings: Julia, Mary, Agnes, Clotilda, Lucy, Ambrose, Isabel, Angela, Anna, Nazzareno, Joseph, Thomas and Natali.
A service will be held in the spring.
