Sarah Johnson

Sarah (Elaine Burnett) Johnson, born October 25,1943 in Youngstown, Ohio to Martha and Lee Burnett, passed away on September 9, 2023. She was a beloved mother survived by three children- Cora Johnson, Anja (Johnson) Dunphy, and Seth Johnson, and five grandchildren- Collin Johnson, Noah Johnson, Sam Stabile, Sloane Dunphy, and Amelia Dunphy. Known to most friends as Sally, she graduated from St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD where she cultivated her love of learning and met her husband, David Johnson, who predeceased her in 2014. Sarah was an exceptionally talented knitter and was a lifelong fan of both baseball and ice hockey. She loved reading and thought-provoking discussions, classical music, traveling, and spending time with her family. She devoted over thirty years to volunteering at the Baltimore Aquarium where she was able to share her curiosity about the world with others.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Saint Albans Anglican Church, 1101 Old Joppa Road, Joppa, Maryland 21085, on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
