Richard C. Clark “Rick”, 74, passed away on Friday, July 10th, 2020 in Parkville, Maryland. Richard was the beloved husband of Esther Clark (nee Aguirre). Together they shared 49 years of marriage.
Born March 2, 1946 in Rolette, North Dakota, Richard was the dear son of Roy E. Clark Jr. and Berdella E. Clark (nee Satrang). He attended and graduated from Willow City High School, North Dakota. Richard enlisted into the Navy and served during the Vietnam Era. Richard retired from Walman Optical after 33 years of employment as the Regional Manager of the East coast. Following retirement he pursued his dream of becoming a Real Estate agent. He enjoyed working and was successful in the real estate business for the past fifteen years.
Richard attended Community Christian Church located in White Marsh, Maryland. Richard enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, cooking, woodworking, crafting, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Richard will be remembered for his welcoming and loving spirit, delicious home cooked meals and desserts, stories of his life experiences, and the ability to love, laugh, and enjoy life.
Richard, beloved husband of Esther Clark (nee Aguirre); devoted father of Carla (Jon) Buxton, Rapid City, SD. and Vanessa Clark, Parkville, MD; loving grandfather of Ashleigh, Amber, and Madeline; and great grandfather of Sebastian; also survived by many family members. Richard was predeceased by his parents, his sister Evelyn Gunderson (nee Clark), and two infant brothers, Gary and Dwight.
Richard’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at Community Christian Church, 8009 Corporate Drive, Nottingham, Maryland, 21236. “Receiving of Friends and Family” will begin at 10:00 am, church service starting at 11:00 am, following the service “Receiving of Friends and Family” will continue.
