Patricia Lucille Huber passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024, at the age of 88, surrounded by the presence and love of her family. Born on May 3, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Joseph and Helen Brooks (nee Roop).
Pat was special – as a mom, wife, grandmom, great grandmom, aunt, friend, sister and as a human being. She had a ‘heart of gold’. She was generous, loving, kind, and always thinking of others! She loved to cook, bake, sew, crochet, dance, sing and had a beautiful smile. She loved hospitality – inviting others over for a meal, or just an opportunity to relax! Upon learning the truth about our Grand Creator, Jehovah, Pat and Otts studied the Bible and were baptized together in 1997 as Jehovah’s Witnesses. That dedication led them in ministering to others throughout the rest of their lives about the good news of God’s Kingdom. Pat worked throughout her life at Bell Telephone, Best Products, Weis Markets, and in home health.
Pat was married to the love of her life, Otts Huber for 53 years before he fell asleep in death in July 2008. Together they shared in making many fond memories, particularly with their three children, Deb, Bob and Donna. They remodeled homes together, and with their own hands, finally, built their dream home in Harford County, Maryland in 1980. They loved the outdoors – hiking, camping, swimming, and trips to the mountains with their family! There were many a gathering at the Huber residence over the years both in Baltimore and Harford counties with family and friends enjoying food, fun and live entertainment from the Brooks brothers family trio!
Pat loved to dance, and if you didn’t know how to jitterbug or do the Charleston, she’d teach you; she loved to bake, cook and make candies with her grandchildren and nieces. She knew how to enjoy the family she had and make them feel their best – having hat parties, candy parties, crab feasts, zoom gatherings, card parties, family fun games, picnics, family gatherings, and so much more! In the last years of her life, she suffered as her Parkinson’s Disease and other terminal illnesses worked hard against her, but during that time she continued to be strong in her faith, showing even more love, more comfort to others, treasuring each moment she had, and sharing what she had with others. During the end of her life the love and support she received from the congregation reinforced her love for the Grand Creator that she so deeply loved! She is an example to her family, friends, and even her medical team! She will really be missed!
Pat is survived by her three children, Deb Lozzi, Bob Huber (and wife Deb), and Donna Tapley (and husband Tom); 7 grandchildren, Erin, Hope, Toni Lynn, Shannon, Tiffany, Andrew and Matt; 16 great grandchildren, Kayla, Austin, Zach, Logan, Kamryn, Kaidence, Peyton, Myckole, Trenton, Luke, Hailey, Luke, Kennleigh, Trinity, Riley, and Abby; 2 great great grandchildren Duska and Rhys; and her baby brother, John Brooks (and wife MaryLou). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson David Haas, Jr., her granddaughter Ashley Anderson, her brothers Chuck Roop, Tom Brooks, Joe Brooks, Jim Brooks, Mike Brooks, and her sister Laura Marr.
Pat’s Memorial Service will be held at the Fawn Grove Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 987 Brown Road, New Park, Pennsylvania 17352 on Saturday, May 18, 2024 beginning at 11 AM followed with refreshments. In lieu of flowers, Pat fondly preserved the environment by donating trees to the National Arbor Day Foundation and we hope you will too! And the family would really appreciate each of you to share fond memories on the evansfuneralchapel.com website page you had of her!
