Melvin Foard

Melvin Foard, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away at the age of 88, on August 27, 2023, in his hometown of Baltimore. Born on May 5, 1935, Melvin lived a fruitful life filled with love.

He was the proud husband of Laverne, whom he married in 1956. Together they raised an amazing son, Jim. Melvin was blessed with three grandchildren, Ryan (Cassidy), Kyle, and the late Daniel. He delighted in his great-grandsons, Xander and Griffin, and always spoke lovingly of his late brother, John.

Melvin spent his working years as a machinist, a role he held with great expertise and commitment. His free time was absorbently spent on his passion for woodwork, with a particular fondness for building bird houses. He was also deeply in love with old country music, often brightening the room with his singing.

His life was marked by hard work, family love, and a deep passion for his interests. Melvin Foard will be remembered as a devoted family man and an inspiration to those he left behind. He will be deeply missed but his spirit lives on through the lives he touched.
