Lisa Frame, 52, passed away peacefully at her home in Parkville, Maryland on March 16, 2021. The cause of death was cancer.
Lisa was born on July 5, 1968, to Nancy Gregor and Bruce Frame. She was a graduate of The Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, the University of Maryland College Park, and the Columbia University School of Social Work.
She had a successful career in social work serving children and families in the Baltimore area, first with the Baltimore County Department of Social Services, where she received the Social Worker of the Year award, then as clinical supervisor at Villa Maria and St. Vincent’s Villa, and finally as manager of social work at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
Lisa traveled to many parts of the world and loved exploring new cultures. Of all of her adventures, she said her greatest was raising her four children. Lisa had a passion for helping people that few possess – she was selfless, thoughtful, and talented, and made a difference in the lives of many, young and old. Those who knew her were immediately aware of her light and warmth, and the comforting presence that she brought with her everywhere she went. Lisa will be remembered for the love that she carried with her and gave to others.
She is survived by her parents, her children Derin Gursen, Jenna and Claire Reitenbach, and Bryanna Taylor, stepmother Patricia Frame, brother Marty Frame, stepbrothers Ken and Tim Stark, stepsister Mindy Munk, and many loving cousins, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial celebration of Lisa’s life is being planned for July, with details to follow.
