Marie Cecilia (Gendimenico) Strassner

On June 30, 2020; Marie C. Strassner (nee Gendimenico) 82, of Baltimore, Maryland peacefully joined her beloved parents Margaret and William in eternal life. Devoted mother of Larry Strassner and son- in- law David Reed, Marie A Strassner, Renee Colburn and son- in- law John Colburn, loving grandmother Brad Warenicz, Johnny Colburn; dear sister of Margo Kline and husband Bill Kline, Willie Gendimenico and wife Nancy, Mark Gendimenico and wife Denise.

Marie worked 30+ years as a medical assistant for OB-GYN physicians. She was a strong, loving and humble person. Her family was the center of her life. As a single parent she raised three children with love, support, and guidance. Each brought her joy and happiness in their own unique and special way. She was simple and humble and found joy being with family. She called her grandsons “her golden boys”. She had a way of listening and guiding with love.

She always found the simple and good in life and in people. She never let despair get in the way. She loved a day at the beach, sitting by the pool, having dinner with her family and painting. After retirement, Marie found that she enjoyed painting and she blessed her family and friends with lasting memories through her paintings. A day with family cooking, drinking a nice glass of wine, sitting at the dinner table and telling stories always filled with laughter and love was a blessed day for her.

There are no services planned. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. At your discretion, memorial gifts may be given to Weinberg Cancer Institute, Medical Oncology Department honoring Dr. Pallavi Kumar, 9103 Franklin Square Drive, Rosedale, MD. 21237.
