On January 4, 2022, Louis Leon Yost, Jr., 76, of Monkton, passed away peacefully: devoted husband of 55 years to Patricia J. Yost; cherished father of Roy Yost and his wife Sandy, Ray Yost and his wife Julieanne, and Stacey Yost-Curtis and her fiancé David Bures; beloved grandfather of Josh, Heather, Madison, Chloe, Sophia, Winslow, Courtney, Kiefer, Bella, Jake, Luke, Zachary and Vivian; loving uncle of Christine “MB” Mitchell and many loving nieces, nephews, brother and sister in law’s; and many loving family and friends.

He was the son of the late Louis L. Yost, Sr. and Grace M vonNordeck-Yost.

Lee was a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Taxation from the University of Baltimore.  He also served in the United States Navy for 8 years in the Nuclear Power Submarine program. He was a Certified Public Accountant, Financial Planner and most importantly self-employed owning several real estate properties.

Being self-employed allowed him the freedom to spend as much time as possible with his family and many friends.  Lee had a passion for everything from traveling, biking, camping, dancing, playing card games, wrestling with the kids and agitating everyone.  He was deeply involved in all his kids and grandkids lives.  He attended every activity that he was able to from plays and recitals to sporting events.  He had an unparalleled thirst for knowledge and continuously researched every topic imaginable.  Over the past twenty years, he became deeply devoted to God.  One of the many highlights in his life over the past several years was attending daily mass and participating in the service by reading the scriptures.
