Linda K Stringer

Linda K. Stringer, 77, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Brookside Memory Residence in Cross Keys Village.

Born September 28, 1945, in Niagara, New York, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Cora Ann (Johns) Miller.  Linda was the loving wife of the late Ronald Paul Stringer with whom she shared fifty-five years of marriage.

Linda retired from the American Red Cross.  She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse in York Hospital’s Cardiology Department.  She volunteered at Cross Keys Village and was a former member of the Eureka Volunteer Ambulance and Fire Company in Stewartstown, PA.

Linda enjoyed dogs of all kinds, as well as walking, swimming, biking, and traveling with Ron, her brother Roy, and his wife Maria.  She was totally devoted to her grandchildren and spent as much time as possible with them.

Linda is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Kelly and Steve Matthews of Bloxom, Virginia,  Stacey and Matt Thompson of Stewartstown, PA, and Jody and Rick Florence of Avon Lake, Ohio;  six grandchildren and their spouses/fiancés, Lee Silk and Bobbie Humphrey,  Ben and Hailey Matthews,  Madison and Christoph Prummer,  Kennedy Thompson,  Luke and Zane Florence;  two great-grandchildren, Riley Matthews and Grayson Matthews; and her brother and his spouse, Roy and Maria Miller of Southport, North Carolina.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron, and her brother, Kenneth.

A casual and fun service to celebrate and remember Linda will take place 11AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023, and will be held at Harmon Ridge Encore Room at Cross Keys Village.  Her burial will be at Highview Memorial Gardens, Fallston, Maryland in a private ceremony.
