Keri Benu Obituary

Keri Michelle Benu, a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023. Born on September 13, 1971, Keri was a beacon of light to all who knew her, bringing joy, laughter, and warmth to their lives.

Keri was a devoted mother to her two sons, Khalil and Malik Benu, who were her pride and joy. She cherished her role as Nanny to her grandson Kamadi Benu, creating lasting memories with him. Keri's love for her family knew no bounds, and she was a guiding force in the lives of her mother Brenda Dietsch, her sister Tiana Neville, and her brother Travis Dietsch and his wife Brittany. She was a loving aunt to Cole, Carter, Victoria, and Ryder, always taking the time to be present in their lives. Keri was predeceased by her father, John Baker.
Keri is also survived by her soulmate, Ben Benu, and her loyal dogs, Lennox and Dempsey, were constant companions and brought endless joy to her life.

Keri's professional life was marked by her dedication to helping others. She earned her Registered Nurse degree from CCBC Essex and went on to work as a registered nurse at Autumn Lakes. Keri's compassionate nature and selfless spirit made her an invaluable member of her community, and her colleagues and patients alike were grateful for her presence.

Keri's love for her sons and family was matched only by her love for giraffes, beach vacations to Nags Head and the islands, and her passion for all types of music. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore new places and experiences, and her infectious laughter and loving nature made her a joy to be around. Keri's beloved pets, Lennox and Dempsey, were a testament to her love for animals and the special bond she shared with them.

Keri's life was one of love, adventure, and selflessness. She was a pillar of strength for her family, a dedicated mother, a loving sister, and a devoted friend. Keri's impact on the lives of those she touched will be remembered for years to come, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

Keri's legacy will be carried on by her two sons, Khalil and Malik, her sister Tiana, her brother Travis, and her many nieces and nephews. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
