Julian thrived for 35 joyous years as the loving husband to Debra L. Taulbee. Their family soon expanded as they welcomed their beloved children—Carrie, Raymond Sr., Theresa, Stacy, Luca, Megan, Ed, Joshua, and Nicole. Julian also embraced the role of a cherished pop-pop, inheriting a cohort of 11 grandbabies who meant the world to him. His siblings—Linda, James, Mary, and Theresa, along with his late brother Doug—formed an integral part of his life. Julian also shared a profound bond with his fur babies, Pete and Jazz. His closest kin extend to include numerous loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends who played pivotal roles in shaping his life.
A dedicated worker, Julian spent a significant part of his life at National Gypsum as a forklift operator. He celebrated his trade and earned recognition as a handyman. A workhorse, Julian's dedication to his job was paralleled only by the love he had for his family.
Passionately supporting his hometown teams, Julian was an avid Ravens Football and Orioles Baseball fan. The neighborhood parks, playing with his grandbabies or carrying home pumpkins and apples, brought him unending joy. Julian's joyous spirit of humor reflected in his quirky sayings, notably, "I'd rather be seen than viewed" and "I'm not dying yet because God doesn't want me, and the devil is afraid I'll take over." His zest for life, infectious wit, and charisma made Julian a real people person.
