John H. Crue

John Harvey Crue, a beloved family man and native of Cockeysville MD, was born on January 14, 1947, and passed away on September 13, 2023. He is fondly remembered as a funny, friendly, and handy individual by many who had the chance to know him. John's cheerful demeanor and unending devotion to those he loved brought warmth and joy to everyone around him.

A strong pillar of strength for his family, John was happily married to Susan Zaloudek-Crue for 42 years. They were to celebrate their anniversary on September 20, 2023. John was also a devoted father to daughters Lindsey Crue, Laura Hubberd and her husband Derek. His grandchildren, Chase Williams, Harper and Ella Tilton, Logan and Declan Hubbard, were the apples of his eye. He also leaves behind his caring nephew, John Harvey Haddaway, and numerous other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

John dedicated 33 years of his professional life to Operation Maintenance at Sears. A man of many talents, he had an unwavering passion for vintage cars. He could often be found in his three-car garage, tinkering and building vehicles, like the 1930 Chevy Coupe he built from scratch. His love for the Ravens, Orioles and NASCAR was well-known, and he was a familiar face at local car shows. 

Blending strength with a generous spirit, John's legacy is one of love, loyalty, and laughter. He will be sincerely missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Johns life, on Tuesday, September 19th 2023, at Hiss United Methodist Church, for visitation from 10-11AM. A funeral service will be held following visitation at 11 AM. Interment at Parkwood Cemetery
