Janet Kay Werner

Janet Kay Werner, age 76 of Forest Hill, Md. passed away peacefully on November 25, 2020. Survived by her son Wayne, daughter in law Barbara, daughter Alane, son in law Brett and two grandsons, Tylor and Bryce. Born October 9, 1944 in Monroe, NCto Letchie Caudle Griffin and James Jackson Griffin, she was the oldest of 8 children. Janet spent her childhood in North Carolina prior to moving to Maryland in the mid-1950s. She regularly danced on the Buddy Dean Show. She married the love of her life Louis Werner (whose death preceded in 2008). In 1967 Harford County became their home. Janet worked for many years as a premier seamstress and interior decorator followed by a successful career as a Caribbean specialist/ travel agent. She loved her family and friends as well as meeting new people and sharing her affection for travel and laid-back beaches. A private celebration of life will be planned in the future.
