On April 4, 2021, James Frederick Schmidt Sr., 78, of Kingsville passed away. He was the devoted father of James Schmidt, Jr., John & Maura Schmidt & their children Lainey and Zeke, Dr. Paul Schmidt & his wife Dr. Heather Adams and August & Julia Schmidt & their children Rosemary and August Jr.; dear brother of the late Mary Velez, William Schmidt, Jr., Joan Kozel, Frank Schmidt, Elizabeth Schott and Carol Ann Schmidt. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and god children.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Jim's life at the Evans Life Celebration Home-Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rt. 23 & Rt. 24), Forest Hill on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 13305 Long Green Pike, Hydes, MD. Interment in the Church Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to the St. John the Evangelist Catholic School or the Knights of Columbus, Council #8736.
