On July 31st Howard William Uhl passed away at the age of 93. He was predeceased by his loving wife Bernadette Newman Uhl. He is survived by his wife Irma Uhl. Additional survivors include Howard’s sister Doris Riesett, as well as his children Carol (Mark) Chouinard, Jennifer Uhl, Gregory (Carol) Uhl, and Peter (Diane) Uhl. He was Pop Pop to 11 grandchildren: Kyle and Megan Chouinard, Kenny (Alanna) Bergman, Aimee Bergman, Andrew Howard (Gordon) Bergman, Stephanie Wood, Sylvia Uhl, Isabelle Uhl, Benjamin Uhl, Emily Uhl, and Abigail Uhl. He was Pop Pop to 4 great-grandchildren: Quinn Wood, and Grace, Beckett Howard, and Uma Bergman.
Howard was a proud graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School and the University of Maryland- College Park. He was honored to serve our country in the Army during the Korean War. He was a retiree of Western Electric but continued to serve on the Board of Directors of the Point Breeze Credit Union until the time of his death.
Howard was predeceased by most of his “Friends Forever”, from East Baltimore, and his brother-in-law, Bob “Captain” Riesett who was his crabbing and golfing buddy. To honor our father, instead of flowers, please consider donations to:

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Howard’s life at the family-owned Evans Life Celebration Home – 8800 Harford Road, Parkville MD 21234, on Friday, August 5th, 2022, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St Joseph Fullerton Catholic Church, on Bel Air Road, Saturday at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
