Frederick Albert Simmons, Jr.

On March 15, 2024, Frederick Albert Simmons, Jr., 86 of Forest Hill, Maryland; enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, golfing, listening to Jazz and Big Band music, traveling to destinations like Italy, Germany, Hawaii, and Alaska. He was an Orioles, Ravens, and a West Virginia Mountaineers fan and in his younger years, was a devoted coach for little league baseball and basketball for his children. He is the beloved husband of 58 years to Cynthia M. Simmons; devoted father of Frederick Albert Simmons, III., Gregory Curtis Simmons and his wife Jessica and the late Jeffrey Michael Simmons; loving grandfather of Brett, Katie, and Chase Simmons; dear brother of the late Arthur Simmons and Linda Sussan.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Frederick’s life at Evans Life Celebration Home-Forest Hill, 3 Newport Drive on Thursday March 21, 2024, from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Church (Hickory) on Friday March 22, 2024, 10:30 am in the Historic Chapel.
