Eleanor "Elly" Gilley

Eleanor “Elly” Gilley, 85, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May23rd.

She was born on April 4, 1938, to Russell and Edith Zealor in Forest Hill, Maryland.  She is proceeded in death by her parents and seven sisters, Hazel Clark, Gladys Jones, Emma Robinson, Margaret Diegert, Helen Deets, Dorothy Raffield & Kathryn Denbow.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.  During this time, they raised two daughters, Darlene (Gregory) Henson and Kimberly (Tracey) Derrickson.

She was a loving and devoted grandmother to four grandsons. Jason (Christina) Henson, Kenneth (Laura) Tombaugh, Jeremy (Katlyn) Tombaugh, and Justin (Ashley) Henson.

Her most precious treasures were her eight great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.  Breanna, Cadence, Parker, Kendall, Laylah, Preston, London and Caroline.

Eleanor is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She had a special bond with her niece, Donna Jones, who was by her side during her passing.
