We celebrate the life of Dora Ana Bowman and her remarkable 89 year-long journey in this world. Dora was born in Tarapoto, Peru, where she lived until meeting her husband, Donald, in 1962 while he was in Peru working for a U.S. engineering firm. Dora came to the United States with Donald and they were married in October 1962. She raised 3 boys, Rich, Gary, and Don, who have been blessed to have their mother well into their 50’s. Dora’s life was filled with both hardship and joy. But she persevered and instilled in her children the importance of faith, education, love, and persistence. May she now rest in peace and in the presence of the God whom she loved and to whom she prayed her whole life.
Dora was predeceased by her late husband, Donald, her parents, Celia and Carlos, and all 6 of her brothers and sisters. Dora is survived by her 3 sons and their families, Richard P. Bowman and his wife Dawn, Gary A. Bowman and his wife, Michele, and Donald L. Bowman. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Alexandra, Nicholas, Sophia, Daniel, and Micaela Bowman; her nieces and nephews, including Maria, David, Linda, and Doug, Jr.; many cousins; and many friends.
