On June 26, 2020; Clara Edna Schmith (nee Schneider); 98 of Baltimore, Maryland; beloved wife of the late George J. Schmith; devoted mother of Richard J. Schmith and daughter-in-law Andrea Schmith; Gerard J. Schmith and daughter-in-law Lisa Schmith; Ronald J. Schmith; Michael J. Schmith and Mary Davis (nee Schmith) and son-in-law Michael Davis; loving grandmother of Geoffrey Schmith and his wife Michelle; Eric Schmith and his wife Jennifer; Stephen Schmith; Andrew Schmith and his wife Melissa, Kelsie Schmith; Jennifer Schmith; Lindsey Schmith and Valerie Davis; loving great - grandmother of Kala, Delaney, Alekxandra. Raegan, Camryn and Jensen; dear sister of Richard Schneider; sister-in-law of Myrtle Fitzgerald.

Clara was a loving wife of 66 years and devoted mother who reveled in raising her children. Family events were very special, and she loved her flowers and gardening; especially her rose garden in her Highlandtown backyard. As a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Highlandtown, she was a member of the Altar Society, Arts and Crafts Club and Holy Family Society. Clara loved to travel on bus trips up and down the east coast and her most adventurous travel excursion took her all the way to the Big Island-Oahu. It was the trip of her life, accompanied by her husband George, sister Rita and brother-in-law Daniel, and brother Richard and sister-in-law Joanie.

Friends and family will honor and celebrate Clara’s life at the Evans Life Celebration Home-Parkville, 8800 Harford Road on Wednesday July 1, 2020 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday July 2, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Ursula Church. Interment: Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, 635 W. Lexington Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201.
