Bartlett Lopez Obituary

Bartlett William Lopez, known affectionately as "Bart" to family and friends, was a beacon of light and strength in the lives of those who knew him. Born on December 19, 1931, Bart lived a life that was an inspiring testament to the power of love, courage, and wisdom. His journey came to a close on May 18, 2023, but his legacy will continue to motivate and uplift all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Bart's life was a shining example of dedication and service. As a Sergeant First Class in the U.S Army, he proudly served his country in the Korean War as a member of the 3rd Division. His commitment to protecting the freedom and safety of others was a testament to his courage and strength of character. Bart's military service was a source of great pride for him, and his experiences shaped the wise and compassionate man he would become.

In his personal life, Bart's love knew no bounds. He was a devoted husband to his wife of six deacades, Dorothy Lopez, a loving father to his daughter, Sandy Rossi and her husband Mark, and a doting grandfather to Bryan Rossi and the late Brittany Wood (nee Rossi). His great-grandchildren, Addison, Kari, and Emma were a constant source of joy and pride for Bart, as he watched them grow and thrive. His love for his family was unwavering, and he was always there to provide support, guidance, and a listening ear when it was needed most.

Bart's bond with his siblings was a testimony to the importance of family in his life. He was a brother to Joseph, Buck, and the late George, Bob, Harriet Neahring, Kas Martin, Edwin, and Dick Lopez. He cherished the memories and moments shared with his siblings, and their relationships were a testament to the power of love and loyalty. Numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends will carry his memory in their hearts.

Bart's impact on the lives of his family and friends was immeasurable. His loving nature, courage, and wisdom touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a constant source of motivation and inspiration, instilling in others the belief that they too could overcome obstacles and achieve greatness. Bart's legacy of love and strength will live on in the hearts and minds of those he leaves behind.

As we remember Bart, let us do so with a sense of gratitude for the time we shared with him and the lessons he taught us. We can honor his memory by living our lives with the same courage, wisdom, and love that he embodied. In doing so, we ensure that the spirit of Bartlett William Lopez will continue to inspire and uplift future generations.

In the words of a motivational speaker, "Your time is limited, don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." Bart lived by these words, and we can continue to draw strength and inspiration from his example.

Bartlett William Lopez's life was a shining example of love, courage, and wisdom. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we remember Bart, let us strive to embody the qualities he held dear and carry his legacy forward, inspiring future generations to live lives filled with love, courage, and wisdom.
