Antwan Patrick Brown, Sr. age 53 of Rosedale, Maryland passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Future Care Homewood in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. He was born September 22, 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Larry Patrick and Diane Brown.
Highlights of Antwan’s life include some of the following: his love for his favorite football teams, the Baltimore Ravens Football team, the Maryland Terps, and all NBA teams. His love for this sport led him on a path to building a relationship with Pastor Lewis Lee, Senior Pastor of L.S. Revival Center of Baltimore, Maryland, who would later invite him to his church fellowship, leading him into giving his life to the Lord and baptizing him on November 4, 2012.
Antwan attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High in Baltimore, Maryland where he graduated with the Class of 1987. He completed courses such as computer science and he majored in business. He leaves an extensive resumé behind demonstrating both his many skills and abilities of leadership, as a General Furniture Manager in the Maryland area.
Vacationing and road trips were something Antwan looked forward to, having traveled to places such as Puerto Rico, Miami, Atlantic City, Atlanta, and Virginia Beach. He enjoyed sitting by the water, relaxing, and trying foods at different restaurants. His dream vacation was to eventually visit Hawaii. Those who spent time with Antwan know he was also a foodie and a movie buff. Among his favorite movies were Martin Lawrence, Bad Boys II, martial arts and Marvel Studio movies.
Antwan married his beloved wife P. Jewel Brown on May 21, 2005. During their first year of marriage, he began saying, “I can’t wait until our 10th wedding vow reunion.” The slogan for their tenth wedding vow renewal in 2015 was “We Still Do!” Afterwards, Antwan replied, “I can’t wait until our 20th wedding vow reunion.” May 21st of this year would have made 18 years of marriage to his beautiful bride. Love endured and prevailed as his wife remained by his bedside day after day, fighting for his recovery and healing. But God would have the first and final say on Antwan’s departure into His arms.
Antwan suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on July 7, 2021 and fought long and hard for 614 days, like the strong man his family and friends saw that he was. He surpassed several doctor’s reports and many of his visitors saw many miracles along and up to his final eternal journey. He was a devoted protector of his family and his grandchildren etched their mark on his heart. He will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him. If he was physically here today, he would be laughing, feeding his face, and pacing the place getting hugs, catching up with his family and friends, and discussing a plan to come together again.
Preceded in death are his parents: Larry Patrick and Diane Brown, his grandfather: Davis Brown Sr., and two aunts: Valerie Brown and Courtney Brown. Antwan leaves to cherish his wonderful family: his wife P. Jewel Brown; three children Tyeisha Brown, Tekaira Brown, Antwan Patrick Brown Jr.; and two step-children Precious JayLynn Wilkerson and Emanuel Lee Wilkerson; four grandchildren: Ayden, Averie, Ashtyn and Troy; two brothers and their wives Charles Brown Sr. and Lisa, and Joseph Taylor and Kim; one grandmother Elizabeth Hance; one aunt Michele Davis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family and friends.
