Anthony Michael Grabenstein

On April 5, 2020: Anthony Michael Grabenstein, 89, of Sparks, MD departed this life. Beloved husband of Anna “Jean” Grabenstein; devoted Dad of Teresa Zanetti and her husband Richard, Patricia Grabenstein and Michael Grabenstein and his wife Amy; loving Poppy to 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Born in Cumberland, MD he graduated from LaSalle High School and was recruited to play football at West Virginia University. “Tony” was called to serve proudly in the USMC. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed many years of playing softball, bowling and golfing. Lifelong fan of the Orioles and the Nationals, the Redskins and the Ravens. Tony raised his family in Annapolis, MD moving to Sparks in his retirement. He retired from 30 years as a computer analyst for the government. Tony and his wife spent many years as snowbirds, spending the winter months at Forest Lakes in Cocoa, FL. He was an active member of the Elks, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the Hereford Senior Center. Tony has been a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Parkton, MD.
