Anne S. Littmann, age 90, died on May 14, 2022, in Forest Hill, MD. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Paul B. Littmann, Sr., and their 4 children and their spouses Paul Littmann, Jr. and Claudia, Carol Pfistner and Steve, Jeanne Schick and Bob, and Cathy Bryan and Donny. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Madelaine, Sam, Tom, Ben, Joanna, Daniel, Martha, Matt and Maggie. Additionally, she is survived by a sister, Eleanor Gager, and 4 great grandchildren.
Anne graduated from Chatham High School in New Jersey and Mt. Holyoke College in Massachusetts. When her husband Paul took a position with the Martin Company, they moved to Baltimore and soon after to Bel Air.
As a longtime resident of Harford County, Anne kept herself active by volunteering with Meals on Wheels, at the school library, as a Girl Scout leader and at the Maryland Science Center. Anne was also a volunteer Sunday School teacher at Bel Air United Methodist Church, a member of the altar guild, and many other positions. She continued to support many ministries at Fallston United Methodist Church when she joined her family there. Continuing her love of learning and teaching she also took photography classes at HCC, was a prolific seamstress and signed up for the first class of Aerobic Dancing in Harford County in 1975. She continued to dance with the fitness program for decades. Anne took up golf and enjoyed rounds with family and friends at Maryland Golf and Country Clubs. When it came time to relax, she could be found doing word puzzles or reading a good book.
Anne enjoyed many close and long-lasting friendships with neighbors in Bel Air and Forest Hill, through aerobic dancing and church activities. Her real passion and inspiration however was her family. Her door and kitchen were always open. Her favorite things were family gatherings where the sound of laughter was the soundtrack of every get together. Anne's strong moral fabric, sincerity, humility, kindness and generosity toward all people and animals was her hallmark and guided her from childhood to marriage to raising kids to enjoying her golden years. A sweet soul like hers can't help but be missed.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Anne’s life at the Evans Life Celebration Home-Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rt. 23 & Rt. 24), Forest Hill with a Receiving of Friends on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 3-6 P.m. with Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 P.M.
