On September 2, 2019, Ruth Elaine Vicars, 85, beloved wife of the late Howard Vernon Vicars, Sr.; devoted mother of Howard V. Vicars, Jr., Brenda Carroll, Sandra Bullock & Barbara Ball; dear sister of Linda Souders, Frances Helmbright and predeceases by 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Ruth moved to Street, MD after being a long time resident in the Dundalk community. She enjoyed bingo, fishing, eating crabs, traveling, and singing karaoke at family gatherings.
Family & friends will celebrate and honor Ruth's life at the Evans life Celebration Home-Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rt. 23 & Rt. 24), Forest Hill on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 12-2:30 P.M. with a Funeral Service beginning at 2:30 P.M. Interment in Baltimore National Cemetery at a later date. At Ruth’s request there will be a celebration of her life at her recent home after the service.
