On Friday, March 15, 2019, Roger L. Burley passed away. The Parkville, Maryland resident was 61 years old. He was the cherished son of the late Warren E. and Lottie M. (nee Moore) Burley; adored brother of Larry W. Burley, Sr. and his wife Paula and James E. Burley, Sr. and his wife Ada. He is also survived by his nephews, Larry W. Burley, Jr. and his wife Sara, James E. Burley, Jr., Christopher A. Swingler and Robert T. Swingler; his nieces, Marlana J. Mathis and Christina M. Patterson and her husband Brian; and great nephews and nieces, Ayden, Annabelle, Colin, Caroline, Laila, Gunnar and Abigail.
Roger enjoyed many different sports including basketball, swimming and bowling. He loved watching WWE & NWO wrestling. He danced, adored classic rock music and played bingo. Among his favorite foods were cream of crab soup, crab cakes and meatloaf. He also cherished the time and comradery found during the time at Camp Glow (a camp sponsored by the Arch Diocese for disabled adults.)
The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers at Richcroft and Gilchrist, for if it weren’t for them, Roger’s life would’ve been less fulfilling.
Family and friends will honor Roger's life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Bel Air– 3 Newport Drive (Rt. 23 & Rt. 24), Forest Hill, on Saturday, March 23 from 11-12 with a funeral service officiated by Rev. Daniel Harlan to begin at 12 Noon. The interment will be private.
