Robert Putnam, Jr. Obituary

 

On August 2, 2019, Robert B. Putnam, Jr., 86, a United States Army Veteran passed away. He was the loving son of the late Robert & Maxine Putnam; beloved husband of Janet Putnam for 62 wonderful years; dear brother of the late William Putnam and Regina Yost; cherished brother-in-law of Donald Thomas & his wife Patricia and Dennis Franz & his wife Carol. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.  

Bob’s family was always his first priority and was a sincere, loyal friend. He loved to travel, paint, play guitar, gardening and listening to music. For 29 years, he worked for AAI Corporation as a Design Engineer and Configuration Manager. Bob was a long time faithful member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where he was once a youth counselor, Sunday School Superintendent and past President of the congregation.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Bob’s life at the Evans Life Celebration Home– Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rt. 23 & Rt. 24), Forest Hill on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from  3-5 & 7-9PM.  A funeral service will be held 11AM August 5, 2019 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church-Bel Air, MD.  Interment will be held at 2:45PM at Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church- 1200 Churchville Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014.
