On January 2, 2019; Karen Jean Hixenbaugh, of Essex; devoted companion of Ricky Myers; beloved mother of Shannon Johnson and husband Tony, Daniel King Jr, Courtney Tapscott and husband Keith, Joshua Hixenbaugh and wife Joey; cherished grandmother of Gavin Johnson,, Avery Tapscott and Trevor Tapscott; dear sister of Cheryl Bartko and husband Cam, Cyndi Bartholow and husband Steve.

Family and friends will honor Karen's life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services-8800 Harford Road-Parkville on Friday, January 4 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM with a funeral service to begin at 8:30 PM.
