Johanna H (Speckbacher) Marte

On July 10, 2019 Johanna H. Marte, of Bel Air, MD, beloved wife of the late Egon Marte, devoted mother of Karen Marte Smith and her husband Clarence, Michael C. Marte and his wife Ling and Jennifer L. Marte. Cherished grandmother of Ryan S. Sorensen and his wife Rachel, Kyle P. Sorensen and his wife Amanda and Isabel M. Marte. Dear sister of Liesl Jeske.

During Johanna's lifetime she was a fearless trailblazer while achieving so much during life. She was a member of the Austrian Ski Team, the first woman to climb El Capitan and a member of the "99's" Female Pilots as well as a Cancer Researcher. Johanna enjoyed the great outdoors and the activities such as mountain climbing, skiing, water skiing, kayaking, flying and camping.

The family and friends will celebrate Johanna's life at the Evans Life Celebration Home-Bel Air 3 Newport Drive (RT 23 &24) Forest Hill, MD 21050 on Friday July 12, 2019 from 6-9 PM

A  Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday July 13, 2019 at 10 AM at St Ignatius Catholic Church Hickory (Historic Church)
