James Harmon Duvall Jr. passed away on March 4th, 2019 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, in Baltimore. Jim was born on September 12th, 1955, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. In his younger years, Jim worked as a skilled tradesman; he worked in all manner of trades, from working as a millwright to photography restoration. Throughout his life, he had a passionate and inventive spirit. He was always ready to dive into the next big thing, be it the latest electronic gadget, or 3D printing, or piloting a drone. Jim would often be found spending his free time contributing to the efforts of the Harford Artists’ Association, as well as caring for the family’s beloved dogs. He often enjoyed vacationing in Bermuda with his wife.
Jim is dearly missed by his family; his wife Linda, his sons James and Sean, and his daughter Laura. His family remembers him for his many contributions to their lives; his generous contributions to his children's pursuit of higher education, how he was always available to his children when they most needed him, and for his 40 years of companionship with his wife.
In lieu of sending Flowers, the family encourages others to make a donation to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Department, in his name. His choice to be an organ donor will have an everlasting effect on the world; through his donation to “The Living Legacy Foundation”.
Family and friends will honor Jim’s life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services - Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rt. 23 & Rt. 24), Forest Hill on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 1-3 PM.
