On November 30, 2018, Hazel N. Phillips Boylan, of Parkton, beloved wife of the late E. “Van” Boylan; devoted mother of Linda Hammond Jarvis and her husband Ken, Cheryl Hammond Zetlmeisl, Terry L. Hammond and his wife Cheryl; dear sister of Winnie Hammond, June Hellmann, Kathleen Rutzebeck and her husband Forrest, Dick Phillips and his wife Linda, Jerry Phillips and his fiancé Kim; cherished grandmother of Sandie Cooper, Laura Quinn, Kerry Douty, Paul and Dan Zetlmeisl, Casie Griffith and Jaclyn Hinther; treasured great grandmother of Brianna, Malcolm, Reese, Nicholas, Emma, Brandon and Nathan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Hazel and Van Boylan founded Village Flower mart which thrived in Hampden for over thirty years.
Family and friends will honor Hazel’s life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services – Monkton, 16924 York Rd.(York & Monkton Rds. – Hereford), on Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM where a funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Thursday. Interment Private. Memorial contributions in Hazel’s name may be made to Alzheimers Association Greater MD Chapter, 1850 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093-5142.
