G. Perry Beebe, age 74, passed away on January 27, 2019 surrounded by family after a courageous 12 year battle with prostate cancer. Fondly known as Dad, Granddad, and Poppy, Perry was born December 27, 1944 in Easton, MD to Amos and Ruby Beebe.
Perry is survived by his wife, Janeen Beebe; siblings, James Beebe (Tess) and Ruth Ann Christopher; daughters, Kathryn Harper (Bill) and Cristina DiBenio (John); stepson, Bryan Marzoli, and stepdaughter, Erin Marzoli (Katharina Furrs); the mother of his three children, Karen Beebe; Grandchildren, Kelsey Harper, Evan Harper, Alexander DiBenio, Carrie Wilson, Garrett DiBenio, and Madison DiBenio; nephews, Mike Griffith (Bonnie) and Greg Christopher (Kim); nieces, Carla Turner (John), Gail Wilson (Chardo), Lisa Brown (Dennis).
Perry was predeceased by his eldest sister, Helen Joseph; daughter, Susan Wilson; and nieces JoAnn Hoyt (Archie) and Gina Griffith.
Perry graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in Federalsburg, MD in 1962. In June 1966, he graduated with a BS in statistics from the University of MD in College Park. He established a successful 39 year career at the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, MD. While there, Perry forged his career working for the Office of Research and Statistics and Office of Quality Assurance. Perry rose through the ranks establishing himself as a division lead and a senior leader with the agency before retiring in September 2006.
Perry enjoyed sharing his passions of golf, furniture making, fishing and photography with family and friends. He also enjoyed domestic and international travel with trips all over the continental U.S. plus Alaska, and Hawaii, and overseas to Australia, the Mediterranean, the Baltic States, France, The British Isles, Spain, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
Perry was beloved by all who knew him and will be truly missed.
