Evelyn Lee Soots

On Saturday, October 19, 2019, Evelyn Lee Soots, age 77 of Parkton, Maryland went home to be with the Lord. A longtime Parkton resident for over 45 years, she was an avid artist, gardener, and collector whose caring disposition always made people feel special. She was beloved wife of 49 years to her late husband Jueri Soots; cherished mother of Marc Soots and his wife Patricia, Viki Soots-Shoemake and her husband TD, and Errik Soots and his wife Nicole; loving grandmother of Kory and his wife Kayla, the late Kelly Rae, Timothy and Chloe Soots, Sara Laird and her husband Ryan, and Lily, Landen and Brycen Soots; dear great-grandmother of Brayden Soots, and Hayden and Karlee Laird; dear sister of Maxine Gianoulos and Sharon Callahan; and precious aunt of Robin Cohen and Whitney Foard, Kelly Williams, Kristen Callahan and John Callahan. She is also survived by other loving family members which includes those living in Estonia, her late husband’s place of birth.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Evelyn’s life at Gunpowder Baptist Church (20074 Middletown Road, Freeland, MD 21053) on Saturday, November 23, 2019 with a Prayer and Life Celebration Service at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at Wiseburg Cemetary (810 Wiseburg Road, White Hall, MD 21161). Following the interment a fellowship luncheon will be held at Gunpowder Baptist Church for all family and friends. 

Flowers may be sent the week of November 18th to Gunpowder Baptist Church for her service.
