On September 4, 2019, Edith Roderick Esslinger, 99 of Parkville; a nurse anesthetist that served in the Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict; beloved wife of the late Edward C. Esslinger; devoted mother of Susan Betz and her husband Larry, Carole Durkin and her husband Ed, Matthew Esslinger and his wife Sharon; grandmother of Matt and his wife Melanie, Laura, Megan, Brad, Katie, Caroline and Connor; great grandmother of Lucca and Brielle; great aunt of Rod Albright; dear sister in law of Patricia Kaye and Debbie Lynch; also survived by several nieces and nephews, all of who she loved very much.
