April 16, 1963- September 23, 2019
Barbara Ann Marsiglia, of Baltimore, a beloved local business owner and a lifelong, generous and faithful steward to those around her.
Cherished wife of Matthew Spears, and dedicated mother of Lindsy Rose and her husband Keith Rose, Dominic Spears and Joey Spears. Adored Mommom of Damaggio, Anthony, Giuliann and Melvin.
Dear daughter of Katherine P. Marsiglia and the late Joseph J. Marsiglia. Sister to Deborah Phillips and her late husband Michael, Patricia Matz and her husband Dr. Samuel Matz, Jeffery Marsiglia and his wife Becky, Gary Marsiglia and his wife Nancy, Linda Marsiglia, and Sandra Marsiglia. Barbara is also celebrated and survived by her nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Barbara was best known for her compassion and generosity towards others, often finding her deepest comfort in fulfilling the needs of those around her. Her fun loving nature attracted many and was most reciprocated and treasured between her and her four grandchildren. She was a woman of strong faith and deep conviction, never overlooking the need of anyone she crossed paths with. The tranquility, rhythm and warmth you find only on the seashore was cherished by her and in many ways, the sea itself beautifully mirrors the woman she was. Love, vast and deep; strong, like the waves that shape the shoreline; and as open and welcoming as a placid oceanscape.
Her life will be celebrated beginning with the receiving of family and friends at Evans Funeral Chapel in Parkville from 1-3pm on December 7th, followed by a memorial service at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider contributing to NAMI.ORG or crisistextline.org to further the research and support for those struggling with bipolar and feelings of hopelessness.
