Michael Ray Christian passed away on March 29, 2024 at 51 years old.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 12, 1972. He was the cherished son of Kenneth and Joan Christian, the loving father of Ryan Christian and Blake Christian, a beloved brother to Kathy Arnold, Kenneth Christian, Jr., Lisa Cornett and his twin sister, Crystal Marshall and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Michael was a proud United States Naval Hospital Corpman and trained in Great Lakes, Illinois. He often talked fondly of his time in the Navy as well as his experiences as a Hospital Corpman. After leaving the Navy, Michael became an EMT.
Michael had a lifelong love of music and could play almost any instrument that he touched. His favorites were the guitar and banjo and he played them effortlessly. Michael loved to sing and play his guitar and enjoyed playing many genres of music including country, gospel, bluegrass, rock and heavy metal. He wrote music and songs and loved to perform for his family and friends. Music was always in his heart and was a very important part of his life. He cherished every moment that he spent singing and playing music with family.
Michael loved the outdoors, camping, landscaping and fishing. He collected eagles and enjoyed marital arts and Native American culture.
Michael always was a kind, gentle and loving soul. No matter what happened in his life, Michael never lost his faith in God. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Michael’s life at the family-owned Evans Life Celebration Home in Forest Hill, MD – 3 Newport Drive on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 from 12-2 & 3-5 with the memorial service being held at 4pm in the funeral home’s chapel.
