William Joseph Parker
(November 22, 1933 - June 11, 2012)
William Joseph Parker (Bill), 78, of Jarrettsville, MD, formerly of Towson, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Bill was the loving and devoted husband of Nancy (nee Miller); father of Mike Parker and his wife Sue, Patti McGraw and her husband Larry, Kathy Kalinowski and her husband John, Tom Parker and his wife Denise; grandfather of Sharon Boyle, Debbie Morgan, Scott Parker, Chris and Brian McGraw, Meg, Jill, Matt and Jack Kalinowski, Michael, Andrew and Rebecca Parker; and great-grandfather of Ryan Morgan and Lucy Boyle. Bill was born in Baltimore on November 22, 1933 to William A. and Mary G. (nee Rennie) Parker. He attended the Blessed Sacrament School, St. Charles Seminary and Calvert Hall High School. He graduated from Loyola College in 1956 with a business degree. Bill spent the majority of his career at General Motors where he retired as the Purchasing Agent in 1988 with 27 years of service. Bill was a true leader as his greatest satisfaction came from opportunities to mentor fellow employees. Bill’s greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his family. His devotion, compassion, strength and tenacity will forever be remembered by his family and friends.
