On January 3, 2013, Mr. Anthony J. “Bud” Shilcoski, WWII, U.S. Army Veteran passed away peacefully. He was 88. Mr. Shilcoski was the son of the late Anthony J. “Tony” and Sophie (nee Nareski) Shilcoski. After his service to our country he began working in Radio for WILK and with the invention of television he worked for WNEP-TV Channel 16, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as a Master Controller for over 39 years until his retirement. Along with his father, he also owned Bud’s Radio & Television in Lyndwood, Hanover Twp., PA.

He was the beloved husband for 57 years of Helen M. (nee Clemish) Shilcoski. He is survived by his children, Kristine M. Bowers and husband Richard, of Street, MD, Anthony J. “AJ” Shilcoski, III. of Byron, GA, Doreen H. Lubin and husband Dr. David, of Dahlonega, GA, grandchildren Anthony J. “AJ” Shilcoski, IV, Emily and Stephen Lubin. Mr. Shilcoski was preceded in death by his sister Helen.

Family and friends will honor “Bud’s” life with a memorial service at St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery on Prospect St., Plymouth TWP, PA on, Thursday, January 10, 2013 beginning at 11:30 AM.
