Helen Halladay of Bel Air died October 15 at Lorien Nursing Center. She was 96 years old. Born in New Britain, CT., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Signe Holstrom.
Mrs. Halladay worked at Pratt & Whitney Air Craft in Southington, CT. for 30 years until her retirement. She was a resident of New Britain, CT. for 91 years before moving to MD. to be near her family. Her many activities included square dancing, church bazaars, and rumage sales. She danced with her troupe throughout the U.S. and Canada. She loved traveling between CT., NY., MD., and FL. visiting her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Halladay was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Robert Holmstrom and two sisters, "Toots" Janelle and Ruth Holmstrom. Mrs. Halladay is survived by; her two daughters Sandra Agnello and husband Raymond of Fallston, MD. and Patricia Sprague and husband Warren of Englewwod, FL., her brother Ralph Holmstrom of Plainville, CT., her six grandchildren, Cheryl Agnello of Aberdeen, MD., Ray Agnello, Jr. of Baltimore, MD., Tara Ceslow of Long Island NY., Debbie Collazo of Buckeye, AZ., Richard Sprague of Goodyear, AZ., and Warren Sprague, Jr., of CA. Mrs. Halladay is also survived by 12 greatgrandchildren.
Mrs. Halladay's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 17, at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rts 23 & 24, Forest Hill) from 10:30 - 11:00 with a service beginning at that time. Interment will be private.
