On July 3, 2012, Walter E. Wirtz, of Sparks, son of Hazel V. and the late Vernon W. Wirtz, Sr.;  brother of Mary P. Wirtz, Vernon "Bud" W. Wirtz, Jr. and his wife Susan; father of Vincent Wirtz; uncle of Spenser and Shelby Twigg-Wirtz.

Family and friends will honor Walt's life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services-Monkton, 16924 York Rd. (York & Monkton Rds.-Hereford), Monkton on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM at which time a funeral service will begin. Interment Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Walt's name may be made to The American Heart Association, 415 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
