Mary Ann Sieracki

Mary Ann Sieracki went home to her Lord and Savior on June 20, 2012 after a short illness. She was born May 29, 1928, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Leo Charles Sieracki and Agnes Ritter. She remained a New Yorker at heart and was proud of her Polish heritage, even though she was a longtime resident of Harford County.

Two brothers, Leo Sieracki and Walter Sieracki, a sister Dorothy Sieracki, and her son Jeffery Marcus are deceased.

Surviving are her daughter Madeleine Benge of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren Rachel Marcus, Jeffery Marcus and Joseph (Samantha) Benge; and great grandchildren Liana and Christopher Marcus and Isla Benge.

She was a parishioner at St. Ignatius-Hickory and a daily communicant until her health declined. She was also a founding member of New Life Christian Community with a love for souls and an evangelistic heart. She loved to go to conferences and retreats and Eucharistic adoration, spending time in prayer with her beloved Lord.

She worked for many years providing faithful love and selfless care for the sick and elderly.

Mary Ann was always up for an adventure and loved to travel, having seen much of the world when raising her children as an Army wife.

She was known all her life for her impeccable standards. She was Mrs. Connecticut and First Runner up Mrs. America in 1954.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 22 at St. Ignatius-Hickory. Interment will follow at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
